01
Fixed-scope project
Higher upfront investment → full ownership
Flexible project models
A custom project shouldn't stall just because of how the investment is spread. At Digitup we offer different ways to develop, pay for and maintain your product.
01
Higher upfront investment → full ownership
02
Lower upfront → 6 / 12 months → ownership at the end
03
Monthly fee → development + operations → buyout option
The same software. Different ways to get there.
An established company may prefer to pay for the project and own it outright. A startup may want to protect cash. Another may prefer to forget about infrastructure, updates and technical evolution.
That's why we don't force every project into the same commercial model.
Three models
The traditional option. We define scope, budget and timeline.
Lower total cost · Higher upfront investment
Your project now. Investment spread over 6 or 12 months.
Medium upfront · Ownership at the end
We build it. We run it. You use it.
Lower upfront · Ongoing service
Build & Run
First we define what needs to be built. Instead of paying the full investment upfront, we agree an initial fee, a monthly fee and a minimum commitment (typically 12 or 24 months).
Kick-off: discovery, architecture, UX/UI and the start of development. Not a “deposit”.
A fixed amount during the period: operations, maintenance and agreed evolution.
Once the minimum period is reached, you can acquire the project for the amount defined from the start.
You can run it in-house or stay with Digitup on a maintenance plan.
You are buying the project. The goal is to finance full ownership of the software over time.
You are engaging the product and its operations. The fee covers far more than paying for development.
Three ways to build the same thing — with no invented prices.
| Fixed-scope project | Flexible payment | Build & Run | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upfront investment | High | Medium | Low |
| Monthly fee | No | 6 / 12 months | Yes |
| Ownership | On project completion | On final payment | Digitup during the service · buyout option |
| Maintenance | Optional | Per project | Included |
| Monthly evolution | Not included | Per scope | Included |
| Total cost | Lowest | In between | Higher, in exchange for ongoing service |
Modern tools and AI-assisted engineering mean less repetitive work and more focus on product, UX, architecture and integrations.
Your platform remains yours: processes, automations, interface, users, data, integrations and AI — not access to a shared generic tool.
In Build & Run, monthly evolution is part of the service.
First version in production.
Real usage and incidents.
What improvement delivers most.
Monthly evolution allowance.
Without operational friction.
The product stays alive.
Hosting, databases, monitoring, backups, security and updates.
AI, WhatsApp, SMS or heavy storage: limits and overages agreed in advance. No surprise costs.
Product, UX, frontend, backend, infra, AI and support — without hiring every role.
Regardless of the engagement model.
First we look at size, complexity, duration, infrastructure, integrations, external costs and technical risk — then we propose the model that makes sense for both sides.
Imagine a platform with a development budget of X.
Option A
Upfront → delivery → software you own
Option B
Smaller upfront → 6 / 12 monthly payments → software you own
Option C
Smaller setup → monthly fee (development, hosting, improvements) → future buyout option
How we start
Business, features and goals.
Scope, architecture, team and cost.
Fixed-scope, flexible or Build & Run.
Based on investment, ownership and service level.
The same technical standard on any model.
No. The modality changes engagement, payment, ownership and maintenance — not the quality of the development.
Yes, when the project includes a buyout option. Terms and amount are defined from the start.
When the agreed payment obligations are complete, as set out in the contract.
Each project has a minimum period defined at the start. Cancellation terms are in the contract.
You can run it in-house or continue with Digitup under the agreed maintenance plan.
We include a defined monthly capacity. Larger features can be scoped separately.
They can be, up to the plan limits. Extraordinary usage or special external services are agreed separately.
Not only to your business.
We analyse the project and propose different ways to make it real. Without forcing you to pick a model before you know what it costs.
